Your Opportunity
As a Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic (Service Technician) at DSL, you will play a key role in keeping our customers’ food service operations running smoothly. You will service, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment, respond quickly to service calls, and ensure customers receive professional, courteous support. You will also leverage industry-leading technology, including smartphones and cloud-based software, to manage work efficiently and accurately.

What You’ll Do
- Service, maintain, and install refrigerated and gas foodservice equipment
- Provide professional and courteous customer support, addressing concerns promptly
- Respond quickly and efficiently to service calls
- Provide telephone support for troubleshooting when needed
- Assess and complete repairs accurately and efficiently
- Manage service requests and paperwork using DSL’s integrated mobile app
- Maintain an organized and accurate parts inventory in your company vehicle
- Respond to on-call service emergencies on select evenings and weekends

What We’re Looking For
- Refrigeration Journeyman; gas ticket an asset
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, meticulous, and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with active listening
- Ability to manage and de-escalate conflicts professionally
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, priorities, and service demands
- Build strong relationships with team members and customers
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience with high customer interaction is an asset
- Familiarity with Taylor, Franke Coffee, Henny Penny, Ubert, Frontline, or equivalent equipment is beneficial
- Smartphone and tablet literate, able to quickly learn new software
